Yesterday, we were invited to a birthday party at the Children's Discovery Museum in San Jose. Camilla had a lot of fun exploring the different hands-on exhibits:

As you can see, Thomas no longer has an NG tube and is taking all of his feeds via nipple. He's very close to being discharged and will soon meet his big sister almost 3 weeks after being born.

Update: Thomas has been upgraded to an open crib as of yesterday and he appears to be staying warm. It also appears that his reflux issues have been resolved as he has not had any spit ups and that he's tolerating laying flat on his back or on his side (he had been laying with his head elevated and on his belly to keep his food down). He's up to 4lbs. 13oz. and he's doing well with his feeds. Really, the only thing left for him to do is to learn how to nipple feed for all his feedings before he can come home.

A PSA of sorts

I just successfully bottle fed Thomas his full feed of 40+cc's! It took about an hour and involved many breaks for burping as well as a messy diaper change. He was quite awake and alert throughout the feeding. He is now resting peacefully with his little head on my shoulder.
